This morning, Lady GaGa recalled the day she watched the Twin Towers fall in a radio interview in Washington D.C.
Since Osama bin Laden was killed earlier this week, everyone has been taking the time to reflect on the tragic events in New York 10 years ago. GaGa can remember seeing the sight with her own eyes atop the roof of her high school,the Convent of the Sacred Heart on the Upper East Side. She explained the utter horror she felt that day when she walked home from school with her father, anxiously waiting for hours upon hours to hear from her mother, Cynthia, who worked across the street from the World Trade Center. Thankfully, their family was reunited, but that doesn't mean she feels any less emotional about the "historical moment in the fight against hatred," the death of Osama. She admitted on-air that it's "difficult" for her to celebrate the death of a person, but added:
"I know it was something that meant a lot to the people of New York, especially those who lost lives that day."
It really does. Whatever comfort this moment gives to those who lost their love ones, we don't belittle them that.
