Robert Pattinson Gets Out of Town With His Guitar in Hand

Robert Pattinson arrived at the airport to catch a flight out of Sydney today. He was in Australia promoting Water For Elephants with Reese Witherspoon and the costars were greeted by a large elephant upon landing Down Under. They later dressed up for that evening's premiere and also made an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. Rob and Reese chatted about the royal wedding and finally settled the debate about Tai the elephant farting on set during their time on the talk show. Attention turned to Rob's Breaking Dawn character when a new still from the movie was released today that features him as Edward with Kristen Stewart as Bella. She's been on the East Coast taking care of their pup, Bear, after attending the Met Gala earlier this week.

The costars are down under for the latest stop on their Water For Elephants promotional tour. Reese and Robert arrived in Australia the day before, coming straight from their European press duties in Germany, Spain, France, and England. Robert and Reese have found ways to enjoy the bit of downtime between red carpets, with afterparties and even a dinner cruise down the Seine with their costar Christoph Waltz and director Francis Lawrence, when in Paris. While Robert is traveling the world for Water For Elephants, Kristen Stewart is taking care of his dog Bear.

Robert Pattinson: 'Ellen' Underwear on the 'Twilight' Set!

Robert Pattinson stops by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote his latest film, Water for Elephants, in an episode airing Wednesday (April 20).

The 24-year-old British actor also chatted about filming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and how a pair of underwear Ellen gave him made an appearance on the film’s set.

“I save [the Ellen underwear] for special occasions. So they very rarely get brought out. I was doing the last Twilight movie and I only had one pair left and they were those,” he said.

“For some reason I think the shape of my body … my ass is constantly hanging out,” he revealed. “We were doing this big fight and every shot has these Ellen underpants. It came to a point where producers [were] calling up my agent going, ‘I don’t know what he is up to but I don’t like it.’”

“They never questioned Fruit of the Loom before,” Rob joked.
