Mark Ruffalo Covers 'Details' May 2011

Mark Ruffalo Covers 'Details' May 2011

Mark Ruffalo wears a Burberry Brit shirt on the cover of Details magazine’s May 2011 issue.

Here is what the 43-year-old actor had to share with the mag:

On temporarily quitting acting in 2009: “I’d had it with L.A., and I really had it with the business side of acting, the machinery of it all. You’re an artist, but then all of a sudden you’re a product at the same time, and there’s this company that’s sprung up around you. I got depressed. I was losing my love for it. So I said, ‘I’m done.’ I fired everybody and moved my family out here (Callicoon, NY). I had to make a radical move. The Kids Are Alright was my swan song. I didn’t know what I was doing next.”

On acting in The Avengers, a computer-generated style movie: “It’s the absolute perfect marriage because it relies on your imagination, your ability to project outside of yourself, to be the watcher and the watched. A stage actor has to be able to do that, because you’re telling the story with your body as much as your face and voice.”

On not training to be The Incredible Hulk: “No, no, no. Look, I’m eating guacamole and potato chips….You think Tom Cruise does this?”

Kim Kardashian graces the cover of Inland Empire’s February issue, which features “10 Things You Don’t Know About Her.”

The 30-year-old reality star recently took to her blog to speak out against teen pregnancies.

“It seems that shows like Teen Mom are all of a sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls. The kids from these shows are all over the news, even on the covers of magazines, and have been become almost like celebrities, but girls, these are not people you should idolize!” Kim wrote.

“Having a baby is one one of the biggest, and most life-changing decisions a person can make,” she added, “and while I’m not saying that no teen is in the position to raise a child, having a baby so young shouldn’t be seen as the trendy thing to do.”

“Girls, please, think very carefully before you make these kind of decisions. Talk to your family, friends, teachers, and most of all, be careful,” she wrote.

Gwyneth Paltrow Covers 'Good Housekeeping' February 2011

Gwyneth Paltrow is all smiles on the cover of Good Housekeeping magazine’s February 2011 issue.

Here’s what the 38-year-old Country Strong actress had to share:

On why she’s seldom photographed with husband Chris Martin: “If I’m looking grumpy in public or if Chris and I leave a restaurant separately, it’s only because we don’t want to encourage photographers.”

On Chris: “I can depend on him. He makes me laugh. He’s really appreciative of me. You know, he makes me feel special.”

On fighting post-partum depression after son Moses‘ birth: “I felt like a zombie. I couldn’t access my heart. I couldn’t access my emotions. I couldn’t connect. It was terrible, it was the exact opposite of what had happened when Apple was born. With her, I was on cloud nine. I couldn’t believe it wasn’t the same. I just thought it meant I was a terrible mother and a terrible person.”

On learning to play guitar for Country Strong: “It was so much fun to pick up a new skill. I can be a perfectionist, so I really practiced. And between Chris’s help and the director needing me to be prepared, I was totally ready when the time came.”
