Rio had a successful first week at the box office, bringing in an estimated $40 million in ticket sales.
The 3-D adventure, which features the voices of Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, Leslie Mann, Tracy Morgan, will.i.am and more, did well with every demographic and had a strong showing overseas, Variety reports.
Scream 4 brought in $19.3 million - and largely positive reviews! - in its first weekend at the box office.
Rounding out the top five were Hop, Soul Surfer, and Hanna.
