Thor managed to rake in $3.25 Million last night just from midnight showings of the flick. At this rate, the studios are predicting a $60+ million domestic weekend opening for Marvel/Disney/Paramount super movie.

Thor director Kenneth Branagh recently said why Chris was perfect for the role of Thor.
“He fills everything I think Thor needs to have - incredible strength, physical dexterity, he is almost dancer-like doing moves with the hammer,” Kenneth said. “If I can put it crudely, he is a guy’s guy, but also can be sensitive, and what I mean by that is he is aware of other people.”
